ABOUT ME

Jessica Stroh is a New York City based dancer, creator, and educator. Beginning her dance training at the age of three in her hometown of Ocala, Florida, Jessica trained with the Marion Ballet Theatre for eight years under the direction of Nicole Benson. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, Jessica received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in Psychology in 2015. While in school, Jessica had the honor of performing faculty and guest works by Ohad Nahrin, Alonzo King, Maurice Causey, Jennifer Archibald, Robert Moses, Sarah Gamblin, Bliss Kohlmyer, Paula Nunez, and Andrew Carroll. At USF, Jessica received numerous awards for her performance and choreography, such as, the Victoria Catherine Seldon Dance Scholarship, BRAVO! Scholarship in Dance, and 1st place at USF’s campus-wide Creative Works Showcase. Jessica also received scholarships to train with BODYTRAFFIC (Los Angeles), Repertory Dance Theatre (Salt Lake City), Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet (San Francisco), and USF’s Dance in Paris Program (Paris, France). Jessica has choreographed and performed her own works at Gibney Dance Center (NYC), The Tank (NYC), and in venues in North Carolina, Florida, and Paris, France. In NYC, Jessica has worked with Colleen Thomas Dance, Bryce Dance Company, Jacqueline Dugal, Hannah Mainellis, and Alexeya EM. Jessica is currently a company member of BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance and continues to work and collaborate with Dugal Dance Projects, as well as, with fellow artists (painters, photographers, singers, dancers, choreographers, actors, gamers, and musicians) in NYC and Florida. Jessica is also a founding member of STEAM-based education company, eSTEAMed.
